From September 1st through September 11th, renowned emerging local artists Clémence Prosen and Rebecca Fitzsimons will present a major exhibition of artworks at the Red Stables in St. Anne’s Park, Co. Dublin.
Clémence Prosen is a French-born artist living in Ireland and Rebecca Fitzsimons is an Irish-born artist living in France. They came together to present their Franco-Irish Art exhibition ‘Home and Abroad’ to celebrate the rapprochement of their respective countries, their love for each culture and the beauty of French and Irish nature.
” I think [her] art is very inspirational and captures the essence of calm moments in life and nature. I am especially interested in seeing beauty spots represented in paintings, of a very high standard.’’, said Christine, a collector from Balrothery.
The exhibition will feature more than 30 paintings in oils and watercolours forming the centerpiece of the exhibition.
These artworks are described by Prosen and Fitzsimons as windows to peaceful moments, inspired by the Irish and French landscapes. They both have very colourful and soft brushstrokes, expressing passion and serenity for the subjects they bring to life through their paintings.
Prosen and Fitzsimons are very excited to show their work at the Exhibition ‘’Home and Abroad’’ and meet and interact with the community.
In addition to the original oil paintings, the exhibition will be supported by Prosen and Fitzsimons’ Art Prints (limited and open edition), and Greeting Cards.
The Exhibition will be open from Sptember 1rst to September 11th, at the Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park (Clontarf, Co. Dublin) from 10 am to 5 pm. The Entry to the Exhibition is Free.

Clémence Prosen is a self-taught artist, a surface pattern designer and calm-life advocate. After living and working in Europe and Asia in the corporate sector, she moved to Ireland in 2016. Her art developed quickly, inspired by the soothing Irish landscapes and the supportive art culture. She decided to develop her artistic practice, in parallel with her engineering job, and connect locally with artists and organizations to show her art online and offline. As of 2021, she focuses solely on her art and designs.
She had her first solo shows at the Skerries Mills in 2019 and 2020. Then, she showed her paintings at the Group Exhibitions Signal Art Open 2019 & 2022, Culture Night Samelah – Le Cheile 2021 and Art Source 2021 and the Berkely Gallery in 2022.

Rebecca Fitzsimons is an Irish visual artist who divides her time between Paris and Dublin since her retirement from teaching French and English in a North Dublin secondary school. Rebecca has been painting all her life and has taken her artistic pursuit seriously over the past eight years. She is indebted to Irish artists, John Nolan and Róisín O’Farrell whose courses she has undertaken. They are inspirational teachers who have enabled her to develop her own creative style.
Rebecca has a daily practice of painting and the Covid lockdown in Paris provided an opportunity to create many of the watercolour paintings you will find in this Franco-Irish exhibition in collaboration with Clémence Prosen.
Her interests are varied in terms of subject matter, including cheerful florals, Parisian scenes, house portraits and commissioned paintings of family groups. She also works in acrylics and water-soluble oils, but her passion is for watercolour.
This collaboration with Clémence in The Red Stables, Clontarf, is Rebecca’s first exhibition and she hopes that the cross-cultural element between these two historically close European countries will be appreciated by all who attend.
