Traces of Time, 70×70 cm

I’m an abstract painter based in Dublin, creating work that lives at the intersection of atmosphere and structure. My paintings begin with movement — broad, drifting fields of tone — and evolve through layered gestures that introduce arcs, curves, and geometric forms. This balance between intuition and precision is central to my practice. I’m always looking for the point where softness meets edge, where a composition feels both grounded and in motion. I work with a restrained palette because it sharpens the focus on depth, texture, and spatial tension. Subtle shifts in opacity and tone allow each piece to unfold slowly, revealing new details as the light changes or as the viewer spends more time with it. Collectors often describe my work as something that continues to evolve — a presence in the room rather than a static object. My intention is to create paintings that offer a sense of spaciousness and quiet resonance. I’m drawn to forms that suggest orbit, drift, and gravitational pull without depicting anything literal. Each piece is built to hold emotional depth while leaving room for personal interpretation. Craftsmanship and longevity matter deeply to me. Every layer is considered, every mark purposeful. I want my work to feel enduring — something that can live with someone for years, still offering new points of connection. Ultimately, my goal is to create paintings that bring a sense of calm, tension, and curiosity into the spaces where people live, think, and feel.
