Description

A portrait study of a young princess Caroline. Inspired by my observations while touring castles and grand houses in Ireland and abroad where family portraits of tanned family members are displayed throughout. I wanted to create such a lineage for a space that aspires to the aristocratic aesthetic – and I do enjoy portraits of real tans and big hair from the 1980’s.
This is a painting in acrylic on canvas on board – the board is approx. 0.3 cm deep and as such this art is displayed leaning against a wall in a bookcase or nook. For wall mounting it would need a frame.
