My Original Paintings are available to buy. I am drawn to nature and it's beauty, even in the mundane. My pieces offer moments of stillness and peace.

Description

This is a Fine Art Print, not the original painting. My original paintings have been professionally photographed. Sourcing superior high quality artist grade paper fine art paper, I can promise beautiful, professional prints with incredibly fine detail.

This is a highly textured, vibrant oil painting, revealing a tender embrace between a Mother and her children, with their facial features left blank, turning them into universal symbols rather than specific people.

The explosion of colour in the background is made up of shimmering, pointillist flecks of colour and a golden light behind the heads, which gives the painting an ethereal, angelic, or dreamlike quality. It feels less like a real-world scene and more like a visual representation of a feeling—like warmth, safety, or a mother’s love.

The colours are incredibly rich and saturated. While the figures are dressed in clean, bright whites and yellows, the background explodes with a rainbow of pinks, reds, purples, blues, greens, and oranges. The sheer variety of bright colours prevents the piece from feeling heavy or sombre. Instead, it feels celebratory, lively, and spiritually uplifting.

The overall mood of this painting is deeply comforting, joyful, and full of unconditional love and conveys a powerful sense of protection and safety. They look like a serene anchor in the middle of a chaotic, colourful world. Which is what the Artist feels like, much of the time, in this mad World today.

(The standard size for this Fine Art Print is 30x30cm. However, I can arrange for a 40x40cm Print for you also. Please ask the Artist for further details).

What is a ‘Fine Art Print’?
I paint directly onto stretched canvas using various mediums e.g. Acylic, Oil, Chalk, creating an Original Painting. A professional photographer (Nick Kavanagh, Kenmare) then shoots these. Your Fine Art Print will arrive packaged, in professional tissue paper protecting it, in a durable postage tube, as a rolled print and you will be able to then choose your own frame. Purchasing Art in this way is also the ideal way to buy a present for someone, who may have their own ideas for a frame.

Rolled Fine Art Prints are often more affordable because you only purchase the print itself and it also offers more creative freedom, taking it to a local, trusted professional for a custom frame. (Smaller prints under 12 inch, are sent in flat protective packaging, with the same high standards.)

Whether you choose an Original Painting or a Fine Art Print, I hope my paintings will bring you some moments of peace and quiet in this mad World we live in.

For those who wish to know a bit more, what is the Printing Process?
Fine Art Printing, also known as ‘Giclée’ Printing (which means spraying or splashing liquid), is a method of making high quality fine art prints, using ink-jet printing. My expert Printer used Giclée printing to reproduce my original painting, to my exact specifications. It is a perfect reproduction, and offers excellent texture, depth and vivid colour, especially as so many of my pieces offer beautiful texture.

I have chosen a Hahnemühle silk-textured fine art paper, that sits perfectly between gloss and matte, offering a perfectly rich depth of colour. Subtle, tactile texture gives prints a premium, gallery-quality feel, while keeping colours true and detail sharp. Ideal quality, the fit between full gloss (too reflective) and matte (too flat).

I am a self taught Artist, living in Kerry. I am a published author, with Mercier Press. I am drawn to creative pursuits and live surrounded by nature. It feeds the soul and my creative self, offering back some peace, in what is becoming a truly mad World. I am drawn to nature and landscapes. When I paint, preparing a canvas, I love texture and working with heavier mediums. Some days, I can score and drag through pockets of colour, before I’ve even realized it. I use brushes, palate knives, even my fingers. I love rich colour, like my approach to life, which is multicoloured, full on. As I become more joyous, I work with oils, clay, glass, sand and beads, each used as the moment dictates. I have always very much been driven by my emotions. I paint to capture snapshots or moments in time, offering the chance to connect with forgotten memories and feelings. As an adopted person and neuro diverse, I carry much love for what’s human in all of us, with all that vulnerability and imperfection. I celebrate difference and anything ‘otherlike’. . I believe that is what makes an Artist. It’s sharing a view, in the most honest way we can.

Terms and Conditions

Some of my pieces are listed clearly as a Fine Art Print, rather than the original Painting. It is understood that you are aware of this and will be part of our agreement should you wish to purchase a print, rather than the original painting.

A.I. has zero input into my work. All my pieces are of my own creation and are all Original works. (A Laser printer is used in the reproduction process for Fine Art Prints.)

My original paintings have been professionally photographed. Sourcing superior high quality artist grade paper fine art paper, I can promise beautiful, professional prints with incredibly fine detail. I am lucky to have the support and expertise of a professional photographer (Nick Kavanagh) locally, with 30+ years of creative expertise and integrity, who uses professional fade resistant Epson inks which are UV stable ensuring your print/s lasts for 60 years +

Please refer below to a very strict Returns Policy for both Fine Art Prints and Original Paintings.

Shipping Policy

Customs and import taxes
For US deliveries, Etsy policy requires that import duties and fees are included in the checkout price. Non-US buyers may need to pay these fees upon delivery. You can message me to confirm how these fees will be paid for your order. I'm not responsible for any customs-related delays.

Return Policy

I sincerely hope that your new piece of art will reach you in good condition, without damage. I can promise each piece of work will be closely inspected by me before anything is sent to you. I will always send any item using Registered Post. I hope to deliver all art and work within 4 weeks of ordering.

If you have ordered an Original Painting and work, of course, it will be packaged with care and professionalism, with all due protection and boxing in place. The process of registering your Art will ensure it is insured appropriately, to cover the cost of the painting. Once the issues with the Courier have been contacted, identified and established, then of course if the work itself has been damaged, then you will be refunded in full. As you had ordered an Original piece, it will not be possible to replace the item. This is unfortunate and a great disappointment for us both and I can only apologise for any damaged incurred by a Courier service. I will do everything in my power to ensure all works are sufficiently protected and professionally packaged when sent to you. (The same expectations of the Buyer apply, per Fine Art Prints below, per documenting the damaged item and the time within which any damage needs to be reported to the Seller)

If any work is damaged, (Fine Art Print or Original Painting), it is strict company policy, that you notify me of any damage to the print within 7 days of the date you receive it. I am of course willing to replace a Fine Art Print (only) and send you another copy of a Fine Art Print that you purchase. (That will not be possible with any Original works unfortunately.)

If the casing/tube of a Fine Art Print has been damaged and the print itself is in perfect condition, then we can both be relieved that the print was not damaged and so, will not affect your enjoyment of the piece. (Same applies for the packaging etc of an Original Painting).

If however, that you need to return a Fine Art Print, please do so, in it’s rolled up form, protected in a tube for postage, within 14 days from the date you receive it. (Please also ensure any Original works are returned to the Seller if damaged). Buyers are responsible for return postage costs.
Please ensure;
1- A closeup photo of the shipping label.
2- Photo of the fully visible postal tube/packaging in which the item was delivered. Please make sure that any observable damages to the packaging are visible in the photo.
3- Closeup photo of the damages that the piece of Artwork sustained.

I have tried to ensure that the pictures and videos of the works, all provide a very close up account of quality, colour and texture, to present a very real account of what you can expect, from the Fine Art Prints especially. In this way, you will know exactly what you have ordered and paid for. Please keep in mind that the colours of the actual product may differ very slightly from what you see on your screen due to variations in monitor settings.

I have also used an extremely rigid process of choosing the very best Printers available and so can promise a very high quality of product. If, for some reason however, that you do not enjoy the print/s, because of personal taste, then I can offer a shop credit for one substitution and exchange, not a refund.

It is with clear communication hopefully, that we can ensure an excellent customer service and I will endeavour, truly, to ensure any damage is rectified as soon as possible.

With thanks and best wishes, Cashin Canvas Art.
