Description

Meet my latest character – an 18th-century vampire with a playful soul. With his powdered curls, flushed cheeks and cheeky fangs, he is more charming than scary.
This painting is inspired by classic European portraiture but with a modern, slightly theatrical twist. I loved working on the details: the intricate gold embroidery on his deep blue frock coat, the delicate lace ruff, the vintage brooch, and the dark, moody background with hints of crimson damask.
Oil on canvas, housed in a beautiful vintage-style ornate gold frame that makes him look like he just stepped out of a haunted manor.
– Artist: Dora Pandey (Dora’s Art)
– Medium: Oil on canvas

– Location: Created in my studio in Wicklow, Ireland
