Rodrigo Piedrahita Escobar is a Colombian painter and visual artist based in Medellín. Trained as an architect at Pontifical Bolivarian University, his artistic career spans nearly four decades of exploration in figurative expressionism. His oil-on-canvas works—executed with palette knife, brush, and layered color glazes—revisit childhood memories and toy symbolism to explore human history and peaceful reflection[cite: 1, 2.4]. His work has been featured in major international exhibitions and biennales, including the Olympic Fine Arts Exhibition (Beijing 2008 Gold Medal winner), the Beijing International Art Biennale, the Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale (Shenzhen, China), and exhibition venues across the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East
