“Below the Beneath” is a painting I completed in 2023. At the time I really did not love it but as I look at it regularly in my art studio it is growing on me a lot.
As an artist it is quite normal to have very strong feelings (positive or negative) about a painting you’ve produced. It is a vulnerable process as it is like revealing a part of your soul to the world around you. What do you want the world to see and more importantly what do you want to hide “Below the Beneath”?
