Description

Searchlight is an expressive abstract acrylic on canvas board. This artwork explores the idea of searching for meaning in life. The search for someone to come and shine a light in our lives. The art features abstracted forms and shapes in the colours teal, blue, white, green, yellow, ochre and gold. This expressive acrylic on canvas is built from layered blue and teal passages, with a bright diagonal sweep of white cutting through the center. Scattered accents of ochre, yellow, and green punctuate the surface, while darker rectangular blocks and pale scumbled marks add depth and structure. Elly uses visible brushwork and textured layering to create a dense, energetic abstract composition.

An Irish artist who works in abstract and representational form using a variety of mediums. Elly specialises in colourful, fun and bold paintings full of life and energy.
