Walking along the canal at Battlebridge in Co Leitrim one morning, I took a photo where the water turns and the path disappears, and there was a sense of it being a lush gateway, mysterious and full of life.
This piece is several layers of black and white photographs, built up to create depth. The vibrant hedgerows, trees and flowers are crocheted and then embroidered directly into the photograph, capturing the colours that spring morning.
