How do you define your artistic style, how has it evolved ?

The wind and the sea shape the boats and trees of my work

Can you walk us through your creative process?

Collecting bog oak ,old furniture and driftwood..

What steps do you take from the initial concept to the final piece?

I use an axe to breakup a large bog oak tree. I decide which piece is going to be a boat. I carve wood to the shape I desire . No two pieces are the same

Are there specific environments, moods, or moments that spark your creativity most?

I live beside the sea in Galway bay on the Atlantic coast ,strong winds shape the trees.

Many artists have a particular theme or subject matter that they explore in their work. Is there a recurring theme in your art?:

I want to capture boats sailing in the windy Atlantic.

I explore all art from around the world

I try to evolve and add new creations to my collection
