Description
This is a panoramic view of the Derrigimlagh bog in Connemara Co. Galway. This soggy and marshy peat land is full of colour depending on how the light hits the gorse. The many flowers, heathers and mosses sprinkle themselves across the peat to showcase a stunning mix of colour and sparkle. I love the pink and mauve shades of Irish heather and no wonder it tends to be a part of all my bog landscapse paintings. The unique Connemara is a pleasure to paint.
