Karen Mc Laughlin is an NCAD Fine Art trained Irish Artist working currently between her hometown studio in Inishowen Donegal and Dublin city.
Using a variety of mediums including oil and Acryllic on canvas, scenes of Irish landscapes and sea scapes are depicted in abstract form.
Through a process often the image will be made and then broken several times to arrive at a piece that depicts a visual as filtered through the human physiche.
When asked about her work she describes it as Concepts of time, place, ancestry and our connection to home- how we dance within the tapestry of these ideas through our own evolution and versions of ourselves.
