Part of a series of paintings inspired by Southern Italy this original oil painting depicts a villa roof as seen from below. Gráinne Nielsen is an oil painter who lives on the North West coast of Ireland, working from an impressively messy home studio. They spend the winter watching figure skating, the summers thinking about watching figure skating, and almost all of the rest of their time painting figure skating. Sometimes they paint other things they think are pretty, just to keep it fresh.
