“The God Mother” emerges from a profound interrogation of consciousness itself—a dialogue between self and cosmos mediated through color as light. The figure at the work’s center is mad—furious, fractured, caught in the weight of self-awareness—yet she is an angel. She guides from within the fury itself, transmuting rage into luminescence. The gold arranged around her composition carries the heaviness of this transmutation: like a dam holding back the weight of one’s own consciousness, only to release it as radiant energy. Gold becomes the visible substance of alchemy, of self-awareness transformed into light.
