Rosemary Noonan is a contemporary visual artist based in Naas, Co. Kildare. Her work explores themes of identity, resilience, and personal experience, using a multidisciplinary approach that includes painting, sculpture, and animation. Known for her evocative storytelling, Rosemary engages audiences with powerful narratives that delve into women’s mental health, loss, and transformation.
Her acclaimed installation, Whispers of Resilience, was commissioned by the Kildare Arts Service and First Fortnight, raising awareness of pregnancy loss, trauma, and fertility struggles. Rosemary continues to push the boundaries of her practice, inspired by artists such as William Kentridge, Jenny Saville, and Louise Bourgeois. Currently, she is integrating animation into her work, experimenting with movement and layered storytelling.
With a background in portraiture and a strong foundation in drawing and visual investigation, Rosemary’s work is both intimate and thought-provoking. She has exhibited in notable galleries, participated in artist residencies, and received recognition for her contributions to contemporary art.
