Mixed media acrylic on canvas, I used black sand from Brittas Bay to create the distinct texture of this painting. It’s a fairly large painting (76x60cm), on high quality stretched canvas and finished with a light satin varnish to protect from dust and sunlight. I am an artist and writer living in Greystones. I love telling stories – and the same way that a book is telling a story to the reader, I want each of my paintings to tell a unique story to the viewer. I love creating big pieces of art with so many details that there is always something new to discover, whether you look at it from afar or from up close.
