Artist Statement Sunlight_abstract art Born in Poland and based in Cork, Ireland since 2012, Sunlight is a self-taught abstract artist whose practice is grounded in the conviction that art is one of the most powerful forces for human transformation. Drawn to abstraction for its capacity to articulate what language cannot, her work gives form to the invisible — the rhythms of thought, the weight of memory, the texture of emotion. Each painting navigates the tension between chaos and harmony, where expansive, vibrant colour fields converge with quiet, deliberate marks to create immersive emotional landscapes. The result is work that does not dictate meaning, but instead opens a space for the viewer to encounter their own. Her practice is rooted in intuition and spontaneity. Working primarily with acrylics, she allows each composition to emerge organically — shaped by energy, movement, and deep internal reflection rather than predetermined structure.
