Bold red and orange hues envelope a cool green island, as if the world is in flames, but my island is protected by a soothing stream. This piece is a part of a series imagining Alternative Earths, new distant planets offering refuge to weary travellers. Us of metallic paint adds a little shimmer in places. The image is 8″ round, and ships in 10″ x 10″ budget friendly frame.
I’m interested in exploring connections, both internal as well as our relationships to each other and the world around us. My work is intuitive and comes with many rough edges, reflecting on the feeling of walking slightly out of step with the modern world. I’m based in Dublin, where I mainly work with acrylics and ink, creating one-off prints and mixed media pieces.
