Kathy believes the natural wonders and beauty of living in Co. Clare has been the spark that ignited her creativity; “Having so much natural beauty at my doorstep, I am definitely influenced by the colours of the natural world around me and the coast along which I live. As an avid gardener I also enjoy letting my imagination run wild with vivid colours from my vibrant garden”
Kathy has had a 17 year career in finance however when the opportunity arose to pursue art fulltime, Kathy jumped at it as she considers art to be her true calling. In January 2020 she set out on her new journey and has been painting, creating and learning ever since,
“My art allows me to express myself through colour and the dynamic interaction of the paints through different techniques and unconventional methods”
All of Kathy’s paintings are completed on stretched canvas, using acrylic paint with mixing components. Each piece is finished with a high-quality gloss varnish with UV protectant.
