Description
One tender world, a common matter —
as if it had always been this way,
as if it could never have been otherwise.
One body begins within another,
in what is known and unknown at the same time —
and the second gently passes into the first,
like light through a curtain.
And so they flow together,
carried by something greater than will,
in the symmetry of their values —
where pink and blue
already know perfectly where one ends,
where the other begins,
and are not afraid of that knowledge.
A thin border fills with calm
the space between breaths —
that space where two can meet,
without losing themselves.
The goal of souls is near.
Not in words —
for words are always too small
for what lies between them —
in the silence that
understands closeness,
that needs no name,
only presence.
Marzena Sosnowska
I am self-taught abstract artist, born in Poland, based in Cork since 2012. I am drawn to abstraction because it allows me to express what cannot be said in words — the invisible rhythms of thought, memory and mood. The abstract I create focuses on the tension between chaos and harmony — contrasting vibrant colour fields with subtle marks. Each painting is an emotional landscape, inviting the viewer to interpret their own meaning through colour, form, and texture. My process is rooted in intuition, emotion, and spontaneity. Working primarily with acrylics, I let each painting evolve organically, guided by movement, energy, and internal reflection rather than pre-planned composition. The result is a body of work that explores transformation, presence, and the unseen dimensions of human experience. Ultimately, my goal is to create visual experiences that evoke curiosity, reflection, and emotional resonance. I see my art as a bridge between inner feeling and outer form — abstract, but deeply personal.
