Description
We stand in a row, five silent figures,
Perhaps you are one of them?
Washed by water, by salt and time.
The sand beneath us remembers every wave.
Days rinsed us, one after another,
months stripped away grief, layer by layer.
Years took what wasn’t ours
others’ projections, fear, and someone else’s steel.
And we carried it long, heavy, not ours,
thinking that’s how we were meant to endure.
For everyone wanted to see us their own way,
painted their own pain and fear upon us.
And the sea, patient, storm after storm,
washed those images from our shoulders into silt.
Loss left with the low tide at dawn.
Sorrow dissolved into foam, into blue, into the depth of day.
And we finally breathed down to the bottom
and what once wounded to the quick
today runs smooth over the skin and passes.
Until one morning, after all the storms,
we wake light, polished like glass.
Untouchable. Not of stone, but of truth.
The sea took everything that wasn’t us.
What remained was us, real.
Tide… ebb.
Wave after wave
You are. I am.
Marzena Sosnowska Sunlight_abstract art
Sunlight_abstract art Born in Poland and based in Cork, Ireland since 2012. I am a self-taught abstract artist whose practice is grounded in the conviction that art is one of the most powerful forces for human transformation. Drawn to abstraction for its capacity to articulate what language cannot, my work gives form to the invisible: the rhythms of thought, the weight of memory, the texture of emotion. Each painting navigates the tension between chaos and harmony, where expansive, vibrant colour fields converge with quiet, deliberate marks to create immersive emotional landscapes. The result is work that does not dictate meaning, but instead opens a space for the viewer to encounter their own. My practice is rooted in intuition and spontaneity. Working primarily with acrylics, I allow each composition to emerge organically shaped by energy, movement, and deep internal reflection rather than predetermined structure. This process is, in itself, an act of inner work; and it is my belief that the depth of that inner engagement is precisely what gives the work its capacity to move others. At the core of my artistic mission is a commitment to empower, uplift, and transform. My creation is not simply to be seen, but to create an impact to offer viewers an encounter that shifts perspective, stirs emotion, and invites a deeper way of seeing both the canvas and themselves. My work is abstract in form, personal in origin, and universal in resonance — a bridge between the inner world and the outer one, where feeling becomes visible and art becomes a catalyst for change.
