Description
This painting was inspired by a photograph I took while travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way County Mayo for a weekend. I came across this beautiful seaside cottage in Newport, nestled quietly by the waters edge. Standing on a hill above, I watched as the moonlight shimmered across the sea behind the cottage. There was a warm glow in the windows and a trail of smoke rising from the chimney, and in that quiet moment I new this was a place someone called home. It was the sense of warmth, stillness, and quiet life by the sea is what I wanted to capture in this piece.
