Emerald Wildlife Map

I am a Swedish artist based in Ireland, working primarily in acrylics and drawing.
I grew up in the Swedish countryside, surrounded by diverse nature and wildlife that continue to shape my artistic pursuits. I was first taught to paint by my grandmother, an early influence that grounded my relationship with both observation and making.

My work centres on Irish wildlife painted on textured canvas, alongside occasional explorations of contemporary motifs and exotic species. I aim to create environments that are only barely detectable, allowing focus to fall on smaller wildlife, sometimes requiring the viewer to step closer.

I work with quiet contradictions. Grand skies or landscapes are set against small animals, textured corners meet simple brushstrokes, deep shadows sit alongside bright light, and movement exists within stillness. By blending abstract backgrounds with precise, detailed animals, my work seeks to evoke calm, serenity, curiosity, and the feeling of watching wildlife from a distance, as if seen through a window.
