Breda O'Flaherty Studio is a creative business. Breda creates art inspired by the derelict buildings, landscape and wildlife of Ireland.

Description

I love to explore the countryside and if you catch a glimpse of the wildlife while out and about then the day is even better, in Kerry along “the Wild Atlantic Way” puffins can be seen, It’s sad to think that these little birds are on the endangered wildlife list. I love these birds with their vibrant coloured beaks, they are beautiful.

This charming little puffin is created with pastels on paper and comes in a glazed white wooden frame. A perfect gift to brighten someone’s day!

Breda is a Dublin born artist, who moved to Cavan in July 2024. She is a qualified interior designer and has a passion for art and design. She has been drawing since she was a teenager and has completed some oil painting and drawing classes in The NCAD in Dublin at night. Her life took her away from art for a number of years and worked in a number of industries such as insurance and accounts. In 2010 she went back to school and studied interior design and graduated from Griffith College Dublin in 2014. In 2022 Breda set up Breda O’Flaherty Studio as a side-line business while working in Accounts payable. However, the company Breda was working for was sold and her role was redundant in April 2024. Breda saw this as an opportunity to grow her business and work full time on her art.
