Racing in Croke Park instead of hurling. 35 by 25cm.

An idea based on the fear in 2020 that there would be no All Ireland hurling final due to Covid 19. The notion occurred to me to put the team captains on horse back in their team colours and have them race around Croke Park for the Liam McCarthy cup. I painted that notion. Print is 35 by 25 cm

Michael Fogarty is a self-taught artist based in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. A painter with a keen interest in the old masters, portraiture, and landscapes, Michael is a former tradesman who has brought a thoughtful discipline and an eye for detail to his artwork. He has hosted numerous successful exhibitions throughout the country, and apart from works displayed on Irish Artmart, he is also available for commissions.
