Visual Artist based in Dublin

Description

Where the spirit meets the bones is a euphoric celebration of “life”, of our existence, of our earth’s existence and of all the cosmos.

This body of work is inspired by Irish Folklore, the entirety of this project was shot in Ireland, a landscape rich with mythical tales, I could feel a world existing around me that I could not see when I was in the forest, I have tried to re create that feeling in this photographs.

Nature is viewed as a god in this series, as the higher power guiding us through our life and through to the next one, the forest holds our secrets, it holds our past and all our mythical tales. A source of inspiration and calmness for so many, it has been where we belong since the beginning of time, as time continues, we seem to have forgotten that. This series hopes to remind us that we are all apart of nature and we can always return to it.

Jennifer Reynolds is a Dublin and Kildare based visual artist who navigates the realms of existential inquiry through the lens of photography.

Her artistic journey is rooted in a profound exploration of the natural world and its interconnectedness with humanity.

Her work serves as a poignant reflection on the evolving relationship between humans and nature. She illuminates the subtle nuances of human connection and disconnection with the natural world, shedding light on the alarming trend of societal disconnect from our natural roots.

A catalyst for introspection, her images challenge viewers to re-evaluate their place within the intricate web of existence and re-affirming the timeless truth: that we are not merely observers of nature, but integral participants in its cosmic symphony.

With a growing international presence, Jennifer’s work has been exhibited in galleries in locations such as New York, Barcelona, and Rome. Her debut solo exhibition at DIVA Ireland in August 2023 marked a significant milestone in her artistic journey, as well as the opening of her own gallery in November 2024.

Her work is held in the OPW State Art Collection as well as private collections and has been featured in the Irish Times and O’Reilly’s Irish Art Auction.
