Description
Every autumn a big circle of these mushrooms appears on a sunny slope at the back of the house. They have been identified as one of the Tricholomas species. I cleared away lots of ground ivy to make sure they re-appeared and they didn’t disappoint. They are very gregarious and some quiet regular and others are fluted, creating wonderful shapes and shades.
Like a fingerprint, each mushroom has its own unique pattern which ebbs as it ages. This painting is absolutely original and unique.
