Description
This abstract cherry blossom painting was created in one breath, right after a walk filled with admiration for blooming spring trees. Painted with bold, expressive brushstrokes, the large cherry blossoms seem to float across a vibrant azure-blue background. The abstract style captures the fleeting magic of nature and translates a spontaneous emotional response into color and form. It’s a visual memory—intuitive, joyful, and full of light.
Fatimie Ashyrova is a self-taught artist born in Uzbekistan in 1979. Although her passion for art began as a child, life led her down other paths until she returned to painting with a deep devotion at the age of 37.
Fatimie now lives in Ireland, after being forced to move due to the turbulent situation in the country, and began her artistic journey from scratch, independently studying and mastering the techniques of working with oil, watercolour and acrylics.
Her work combines realism, symbolic ornament and textural abstraction. Inspired by the traditions of her homeland, she often replaces human figures with symbolic floral forms in keeping with Islamic aesthetics, telling stories of culture, identity and resilience.
In her recent abstract series, she applies layered, textured brushstrokes, creating serene, imaginary worlds inspired by the Quranic vision of Paradise, and creates abstract floral paintings.
Fatimie’s art invites viewers to experience peace, spiritual reflection and quiet beauty found in both memory and imagination.
