I’ve been a fan of this wonderful woman all my life. Went to see her in concert at the RDS in Dublin back in 1983. ( her only Irish gig) There is no doubt in my mind , Joni Mitchell is a genius..The depth of her lyrics plus how they are wrapped in music is totally unique. I hope my drawing does her justice in some small way. The first few notes of BLUE are dangling in her hair. Available here as half the size of the original, high quality signed Giclee Print.

“Drawing with soft pastels is something I love very much. The way they blend and offer energy to a drawing really gets me. Sometimes when I paint I like to use metals and other materials added to the paint to punch up the texture. When I draw and paint, time stands still, there is nothing else in the room only me the work and mostly jazz. ”
