Description

The Solemn
A single piece of clay sculpture mounted on a metal base.
Perfect for a feature piece in all modern settings

The piece features a limbless tribal figure.
The cross which arises from the figures back is to signify Christian religion has arrived.
The figures face conveys a solemn expression with little understanding of the
complications that this new religion has brought to their life.
The cross is wrapped in a rope that wraps around the neck of the figure.
This is to further indicate how religion has firmly taken hold, suffocating their own beliefs and traditions.
